The Stubbington and Hill Head microclimate is mild salt: not as severe as Gosport seafront, but enough that north-facing render and UPVC discolour noticeably over winter and that windows fog with salt film within a fortnight of a southerly. The open farmland to the north-west blows agricultural dust onto upper-storey glass through the harvest months, and the mature horse chestnuts and oaks along Crofton Lane and Hillhead Road drop leaf and tannin into gutters from late September. Stubbington gutters are also commonly affected by herring-gull nest debris because of proximity to the coast. We clear it properly with vacuum, inspect with a roof-level camera, and rinse the fascias back to bright UPVC.
