Property types we know in Paulsgrove
Paulsgrove housing is predominantly post-war social and ex-MOD stock — terraces, semi-detached homes and three-storey maisonettes climbing the slope toward Portsdown Hill, with rough-cast render fronts, hipped tile roofs and original or replacement white UPVC. The Wymering side has older 1930s and 1940s housing with painted timber detail and slate roofs. Newer infill developments along Allaway Avenue add modern detached homes with gable glazing. We adapt the kit to suit: pure-water carbon poles for the upper floors of the maisonettes, low-pressure softwash for the rough-cast render that holds algae deep in its texture, and vacuum gutter clearance for the older terraces where moss caps and leaf-fall are persistent.
